compativility IE NETESCAPE

I am trying to find a way of using layers that will work with netscape and
internet esplores
the div works for ie layer and ilayer work for netescape how can i do to
make it work for both.

What about <div><layer>Text</layer></div>? I don't know of any browser that
recognizes both, so it should be safe.

I don't think the next version of Netscape will support <layer>...

not totally sure, but it is non standard....
