Hi,

Is it advisable to apply to the same company that fired you before? In
other words, can the job candidate apply to a different department from the
same company?

Thanks for your help,

Peter

You could, but the reference check might be fun. In other words, it depends
upon why you were fired.

Peter,

If you were fired and not laid-off, the hiring manager (even from different
department) will not touch you for many reasons...... there might be
something wrong with you, you might still have a "bad taste" in your mouth
which might influent your attitude, and last but not least, avoid
antagonizing the manager who fired you.

My advice is to find another job instead. There are many good companies out
there. Hope this helps.

simon.

Why not? You've got nothing to lose by trying. At worse, you'll get back
one of those "we don't have any open positions that fit your skill set" letters.
