Front-End Developer (Java/Swing)
Overall Purpose/Objective:
We are seeking a Java developer with experience developing Java applets that
run in a web browser. This individual will work with a team of front-end
developers and also communicate extensively with a team of developers writing
the back-end server and database code.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement Java front-end code to run in a web-browser environment.
Requirements:
· Development of Java applets to be run in a web browser required.
· Usage of Swing and Java Foundation Classes (JFC) required.
· Usage of JDK 1.1 required.
· Demonstrated development skills in a team environment (source-code version
control) preferred.
· Experience with KL Group’s JClass Standard Suite preferred.
· Firm grasp of object-oriented concepts implemented in Java highly desirable.
· Demonstrated short learning curve, and ability to quickly evaluate and
adopt new technologies as required.
· Knowledge/usage of Visual Café preferred.
· Knowledge/usage of Javadoc preferred.
· Previous experience with XML parsing, particularly using Sun's Java API
for XML Parsing preferred.
· Deployment of java applets to be run in a web browser preferred.
· B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent directly related recent
experience.
· Minimum 1 year of Java applet front-end development experience.
