Execute and application

Hello,
is it possible to launch an application and to embeed the output (as MS Word
does with MS IE)?
Example. My application (A) starts and displays a Window. A menu option lets
to call an external application (for example MS Word) we call B. I would
like the B application to run in a window of A application. I don't want
to apply menu and toolbar negotiations, I would just provide a sort of container
where the B application could run.
