As a Web Developer in today's market place I find Glenn Davis's article to
be a rant against Microsoft and not a rant on Web Standards. To be compatible
with older versions of a language or a product should be expected.
I find that developing for the web means I have to constantly think about
what to write and how will it play with other browsers. If Microsoft and
Netscape were both compatible then I could not worry about cross browser
compatibility as much as I do now.
Netscape has closed their doors and stopped developing for the future. They
just want to complain about MIcrosoft this and Microsoft that.
I would much rather Develop for IE than Netscape any day.
