query regarding trees in javascript

dear sir/madam

i have an empty tree with some levels in that in the down frame.
in the upper frame i have all the resources in the form of check boxes.if
the user selects the node of the tree and selects the above resources it
should be added to that node.how this can be achieved in javascript or java.
