How do I make a text heavy site that is directed at finance-types interesting?
I am looking for generic photos of finance related images. I am looking for
current tastes in text groupings, (short wide paragraphs?)I'm really feeling
challenged.

Jessica,

You might want to start by looking at other finance related sites to see
what
they are doing with their content, this seems obvious and you've probably
already
started by doing this, but give these sites a look and play around with the
idea of
what things are consistent between each site and why.

Unfortunately I'd have to say that you're stuck by having to design a site
that needs
to place its emphasis on content and not necessarily looking cool, but at
the same
time not making it look blah or like any of the "competition".

my personal current favorite site is http://www.zeldman.com/coming.html
maybe you can find the inspiration you need with some of these URLs.

Good Luck
