Do you know when MSDN subscribers will be getting the VB7 beta versions?
When is the "scheduled" release of it anyway?
Just curious.....

All they've said to date is "sometime in 2001." --- Phil Weber Keith Franklin, MCSD 03-16-2000, 11:00 PM Actually at VBITS Ballmer said end 2000... We will see!!! Actually, to be fair, the compiler groups are much better at shipping on time. I hear rumors of a new Office for Q2/3 2000 so the MS shipping factory won't be able to ship a new VS until that is all over. I just hope that in the process we'll see a better effort at VB/VBA/VBS language integration. If Inheritance is finally in VB then are we supposed to ditch the unloved implements? My entire VB middle tier hangs on this feature...but if inheritance is coming whats the point of it? My entire VB middle tier hangs on this feature...but if inheritance >is coming whats the point of it? Implements is a very important feature of object-oriented programming. Java has it. I can't imagine why they would want to yank it out. It is a key part of polymorphism. What is "unloved" about it? Sure, Inheritance will be great, but there is no reason to ruin the existing VB OO features to get it.
