Chat/Bulletin Board

[Larry Rebich]

One of my clients wants to add a 'chat/bulletin board' capability to their
web site. How do I go about providing that feature? The host is
'Interland'...

That depends on whether you want to build or buy the solution. If your needs
are fairly typical, you may be happy with buying an already built solution.

One I think is particularly good is "Ultimate Bulletin Board"

I have clients on InterLand so be aware of custom dll solutions if you go
and buy a packaged deal. Interland does custom dll's only on dedicated
servers. At $500 a month that is out of the reach of many small business
owners. I did redev one messageboard I found on aspin and it used the
dictionary object and you should be safe with a solution like that.
