sending e-mail via smtp server

HI,

I want to send an e-mail via an smtp server.
I use the wwipstuff class of webconnection but I'm unable to get it working.
I always receive the 'illegal operation program will be shutdown...' windows
error msg.

I took all the infos from tables (message content, recipient e-mail) and
constant (sender e-mail and name, smtp server adress)

Does anybody knows another way of doing this?

Have you tried looking for a solution or posting a message about this on the
West Wind board? AFAIK, Rick pays pretty close attention to it.

Of course, but the most question posted the more responses incoming and the
best are the chances. Simple logic... The wwipstuff class works but not
like I wanted to so if anyone knows another way to do this, please tell me
about.

You can use a free control FreeSMTP. I found it on www.download.com
Unfortunately, it does not know to make MIME encoding/decoding, so if
you want to send an attachment, you need to make the encoding by yourself.

BTW: Does anyone know a free control for MIME enc/dec?
