Problem with Web service and mysql

Hello,

I read the article of this portal, http://www.devx.com/wireless/Article/28046/0/page/1
and I´m doing a very close application, but I have to access to a mysql database in the web service (I use Ibatis to access it). I use the same tools that in the tutorial.

The application crashes when I try to access to the database, and I think it is because I have to register the database in tomcat.

Could you help me with this question??
