is it possible to edit listview certain fields? than update?

I am using VB.Net as my programming language with VS2005 as IDE....
I want to know about this so that I dont get any difficulties on updating data...

is it possible to edit a certain listview field and update the edited field?? :D

Update it where? Where is the listview data coming from?
