Access stops responding when making project

Hello

When I try to create a new project with "Microsoft SQL Server Wizard" to
create a new database adp file it freezes up and the task list says that
Access is not responding.

I have a Pentium 2 350 Mhz with 192 mg PC100 SDRAM and Windows 98SE. I'm
using Access 2000 with SQL Server 7 Desktop Edition

Should I be doing this on with Windows NT 4 Server instead? Could it be a
conflict with something else, in Windows 98?

Failing that would I be better off just creating the MSDE backend in
SQLServer 7 itself?
