Let's have some acronym descriptions here please! I finally grokked that
ejb probably stands for enterprise java beans. Probably. It always bugs
me when obscure acronyms are used and not explained or at least the words
they stand for spelled out at first usage in the article. </rant>

If you think that EJB is an "obscure acronym", then you probably shouldn't
be reading or writing posts to the java.enterprise message area.

just blah blah
Re: ejb == ???
Huhhh :)
EJB is nothing
Acronyms are all the hype in SWD ;) at the moment for some reason.
I think it is because they want to dumbfound those who are not in the industry
to make them think they know more than they really do.
Problems come when you know 2 or more technologies many with the same acronyms
used for different things. I end up getting them mixed up.
I think it is alright for things like EJB because they describe a whole though
in truth not that large a section in Java programming but when they start
to use acronyms to describe every small little think for example is done
in Mickey soft network administration that is exactly what you get a Mickey
mouse setup.
Don’t bother remembering the acronym just remember what it stands for, what
it stands for usually makes the technology self explanatory.
If you come across an acronym you don’t know the meaning is usually detailed
on the web or part of a book somewhere just write the meaning down for reference,
it is stupid but it is no big deal.
There isnt really a point for them to write the meaning of something like
EJB here but I think they should at least for beginners have some sort of
reference somewhere.
