    You have to edit the Windows registry to change the ASP file key.

    Follow these instructions carefully:

    1) Click "Start" menu.
    2) Click "Run"
    3) Type in "regedit" and press ENTER
    4) Click on "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT"
    5) Right-Click on extension ".asp" and delete it.

    Next time you want to open an ASP file you will be prompted
    to choose a program to "Open With."

    The easier way is to select the asp file in windows explorer, hit SHIFT +
    F10, select OPEN WITH, select Development Environment (check the box, always
    open with on the bottom, if you are using Win 95, 98 or NT) and hit ok. Now
    all your asp files will open in Interdev .
