ListView highlighting disappearing

I have a form with a ListView control. If I select an item on the ListView,
then select anything else in the form, the highlighted line on the ListView
goes away. Is there any way to keep this highlighted?

Set HideSelection property of your ListView control to False. By default it
is set to True
