    calling internet explorer from vb

I was wondering if there is a way to launch internet explorer from visual
basic such that it displays an html file saved on the hard-drive.

I haven't been able to find any i.e. launching references in msdn or online.
Could someone please point me in the right direction ?

Charlo: See the tip, "Launch a PC's default browser with ShellExecute API"
at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/tec...00pasttips.asp . You should be
able to simply pass the file name in the lpFile parameter; if that doesn't
work, try prefacing the file name with "file://" (without the quotes).

I seem to remember there being a whole "Internet Pack" that you could download
that provided all of the tools for integrating IE into VB. It's probably
3-4 years ago that I saw and downloaded this. We trialled it and threw it
away, but I'm sure that it integrated it much better than running a shell
