    c++/visual basic

    is it possible to include c++ code and visual basic code together? If it
    is, then how is it done? If not, then could someone point me in the direction
    of a good way to make a gui for a c++ program?

    Jeff: Yes, you can compile your C++ code into a DLL and call its functions
    from your VB GUI. The following article provides a pretty good overview of
    the process: http://www.flipcode.com/articles/article_vbdlls.shtml

    If this is a new project and you want to capitalize on existing C++ developers,
    take a look at Visual Studio.NET. The bonus here isn't that it's easier to
    develop the GUI in VB.NET (Though it is but rather Microsoft has not incorporated
    the IDE and RAD tools cherished by VB developers into the whole VS.NET suite.

    If you've already committed to working in another version, you could look
    at Borland C++ Builder. I haven't used it myself, but if it's anything like
    Delphi, it shouldn't be half bad. Aside from that you can develop a GUI in
    VB. The easiest way is to develop your C++ code into a COM DLL that can be
    referenced by VB. VB can also access static DLL's through API declarations
    as well.
