    ASP & Windows XP Home

    Hello,

Using Windows 95,one could down-load and use Persoanl Web Server to run ASP
code. Does Windows XP Home allow this, and if so how? Bottom line, can
one run ASP using Access database on Windows XP Home, and if so, how does
one get around the PWS? (The DSN connection is not a problem.)

    Thks.

    Joe

    Hello Joe,

The bottom line is - Windows XP Home Edition does not support include or
support any versions of MS PWS. If you want any web server functionality,
please switch over to Windows XP Professional.

But there is an un-official, un-supported work around for running IIS in
Windows XP Home Edition. For more info, please refer to -
