I assume you mean the Recordset.Find method?

you can then check the Recordset.NoMatch property (after the find call).

NoMatch is TRUE if the Find fails

    rs.Find Criteria
    If not rs.NoMatch then
' Find SUCCEEDED - a record WAS found
    else
' Find FAILED - a record WAS NOT found
    end if
