    Dates turned into Numbers??

My question is that in my access database the dates have been converted to a number (kind of like a zip code) Do you know how I can reformat them and change them back into a dates?

Example of Problem 2/15/2003 looks like 32568??

    Can Anyone Help???

    Thanks!

Most databases store dates as an integer (or long) that counts the number of days since the starting point of the date data type. For MS datetime, I think the starting date is Jan 1, 1901, so today's date is stored as 37355, the number of days since that date.

Somehow your table or form is set to display the date as this raw number...Jim's format suggestion is right on target, thought I'd give a little background. :-)
