    Access and VB

Okay, I have a simple question. What is the difference between an Access
DB file and an Access 2000 DB file. I am learning DB from a book published
in 1999 and it works for older Access DBs, but not ones saved in Access 2000
format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Henry

Access 2000 requires a newer version of the Jet database engine. Here is a Microsoft KB knowledge
base article that documents the issue:

PRB: Error "Unrecognized Database Format" When You Upgrade to Access 2000 or 2002
