Recording frequency of search results.
I am building a web based search / result application in ASP, which displays
data records partly based on the frequency that each record has pereviously
been displayed on the web as a search result and or detail page.
How can I update a 'report log field' in my database for each record that
is actively displayed on the search results page in a scenario where a recordset
navigation bar is used, i.e. the log should only be updated for those records
which were viewed on the screen, not all the results that match the search
criteria.
A similar log needs to be made for each record for which the details are
then viewed using the 'Go to Detail Page' hyperlink server behaviour.
Can anyone put me on the right track?
Thanks
Dylan
