How to write ASP (VB) to work with binary file on server?

I found that VB doesn't support for working with binary file
from PWS document and Windows Scripting Host.

I think it very joke that we can not work with binary file
while another server side script can, what about Microsoft work?

How can I work with binary file?

    Thank you.

If you're simply trying to serve a binary file, look at the
Response.BinaryWrite method and set the MIME type of the response. If you
want to manipulate binary files on the server, write a COM component in VB
and call that from your ASP page--or better, consider moving to ASP.NET,
which lets you work with binary files natively.

    To Jones,

How I start using VB.NET or other .NET web service?

    Thank you.

The simplest method, and the fastest way to get started, is to buy a copy of
Visual Studio; however, if you are willing to work in C# without an IDE, you
can download the .NET framework and C# for free.
