Entry level pay?

I have a lead on a job in Louisville. It is a full time permanent,
entry-level, VB job. I'll probably be interviewed soon. I don't have a
clue what a job like this pays, and I don't want to be clueless for the
interview <g>

What can I expect? What range of pay should I be willing to accept. What
should I ask for?

As a little background.... The company knows of my ability from references
of others that have used my code and/or products. I don't have a college
degree, but that isn't a problem for them. I'll also be relocating if I get
the job.

Any advice would be appreciated.

45-65K is reasonable for an entry-level position w/ bennies in most markets
the size of Louisville. Good luck!

Do a little research and look over some salary surveys, and other career
info, because you may find a limited set of responses from a newsgroup.

Devx may have a salary survey posted online, if so, they should mention

Check with other companies in the area. My employers are in their current
location due to local economy which flows slower than molasses. This lets
them pay less than the region average, since the local wages are so much
lower than the rest of the state/region/nation.
