    Saving/Reading BLOB in/from ACCESS

    Hello to everyone.

I am trying to understand how to do this:
I want to save a OLE object (Word, Excel, Bitmap image...) into a Access DB and vice versa.

All I know about this is:
    1) I have to create a field in a Access DB Table as OLE Object.
    2) I have to set ADO in VB Project|Reference.
    3) There are two ADO Methods (AppendChunk and GetChunk) which do this task.

But so far I did not succeed in doing something working.
Have you got some code to show me like an example?

    Very Grateful for yr help.
    Best regards to everyone

    Fabio

    See if the following helps:

How To Read and Write BLOBs Using GetChunk and AppendChunk

In addition, you cannot use this method to save the documents with application OLE headers. Only the OLE control, using the native application for the document, can do this.
