Getting Started
I would like to know how to get started in programming with Visual Basic.
I am an MCSE who has burned out on networks and want to pursue a career
in programming. I have done a little programming here and there for years,
going all the way back to Pascal and Basic, and have used VBA heavily for
several years. Now I've taught myself VB, Access and SQL, have volunteered
at charity organizations, built their databases, interfaces, and have had
a few contract jobs amounting to approximately a year's worth of experience.
I spend every weekend and evening working on my own on VB. But everyone
wants 3 or more "proven" years. I can't even get responses to my resume.
Any advice?

ChrisS:
Sounds like you are on the right track. Sometimes you just have to be patient.
Have you tried submitting your resume to one of the web career sites? When
I did this, I immediately got a lot of calls.
