    choosing a database

    Hi All

I need to import and save about 15000 records into a database on a daily basis. I might need to do this for about 6 months...
    can Access handle this number?

I have another app that works with 300Megs access database file and still works okay! Any of you Gurus cam across a limit on access database file size?

    Thanks Much!

Access has a limitation of 2 GB. If you think that you may exceed that number you may want to consider an MSDE database.

Thank you much Paul. I don't think my db might grow so huge...but if I have to run a small VB app based on it (single user) would it work okay?

Yes, single-user access should be fine from a Visual Basic application. I would recommend compacting the database at least once a week.
