Question how to pass entire object by reference ?

    Hi,
I want to pass an object to a function and i want to change datamember's value of that object in the function.

While accessing the object's datamember from the calling routine, it doesn't relfact the change made in the function.

    Can anybody guide me ?

    Thanks,

    Narayan

All objects in java are passed by reference with the following exceptions:

    1) This does not include the String object
    2) THis does not include primitives, which are pass by value

    -gc
