Applet info please

o.k i've seen all the applet pages on how to write one but i know nothing much of java stuff that's my friends job really.
Redbaron has plans for a rpg but it is only playable on ur p.c. (it's nothing much now. really nothing much)
the problem is that we both don't know how to make applet that will make it viewable.
our code in my html page is...
<applet code="MA1/MA1.class" archive="moria.zip" width="500" height="500">
but when u load the page it says MA1/MA1.class is not initied or something. and then says applet loading failed.
if u need more info i'll have msn messenger up so it will tell me when somebody replys here. and i'll come in a flash.
