I own a java applet based chat.

Occassionally I will receive an email from a user notifying me that upon entry to chat (as the applet is opening) their anti virus software alerts them to the presence of virii.

I suspect this alert is only notifying users of the presence of the applet.

Are my suspicions correct or can someone offer me another lamen explanation for this action?
