    Introduction

    Hello gang!

My name is Brad O'Hearne, and I am a new DevX Section Leader for Java. My
role is to try to help facilitate communication in these Java newsgroups,
and get answers to questions and pointers to resources where needed. Keep
in mind that it is impossible for one person to answer every question, and
handle every post, but I will be here, trying to give some assistance where
    possible.

From my experience, the best user communities are the ones where everyone
asks questions *and* helps to answer questions, so if you ask a question,
browse through a few other posts and see if there's one or two questions
others have asked that you can lend a helping hand to. With all of our
cooperation, we can make these newsgroups a widely recognized Java help and
    discussion spot on the Web!

    Brad,
It is good to see Devx showing some 'concern' for the Java newsgroups.
Devx's reporting of Java, and it seems its knowledge of, has been minimal.
    See for reference - http://news.devx.com/cgi-bin/dnewswe...em=2609&utag=.

You can start by handling the myriad of Javascript/Html questions that
    show up here.

    Mark
