    Arrow Visual J and javax.swing

    Hi,

    I'm new to Java. I'm using Visual J++ 6.0

    I am trying to use the javax package. When i import javax.swing I get an error message "Undefined Package 'javax'".

    I have no idea why i'm getting this. Please help.

    Thanks!

    OK. A little history...

    Sun bring out Java. It's a beautful language and it's platform-independant. The world gets excited.

    Microsoft bring out Visual J++. It's a beautiful language with a fantastic GUI editor, but it will only run on windows. Sun get angry.

    Sun sue Microsoft for polluting Java.

    *sigh*...

    Anyway, the reason that it says that it can't find javax.swing is because those are Sun packages which were introduced after Visual J++ was produced. You can't use them. Sorry!
