I don't know if any of you guys write UML precode when you do work, but I do and have found it very helpful.

Do any of you that do use an application to write your UML? or do you use pen and paper.

I'm looking for a good UML diagram creating program.

Personally, I like to use TogetherSoft's Control Centre, but unless you have a few thousand pounds that you don't particularly want to keep, I recommend you get one of the free alternatives!

One that I've used in the past has been ArgoUML:

It's good, it's Java, it's XML, it's open source and more importantly....free!

A slightly better looking version of ArgoUML is Poseidon for UML.

The community version is free.
