Textfile to textfield

Hi I know nothing about JAVA But i need a script that does the following:

There must be a textarea on a page that fills itself with the text that is written in a textfile, when I edit the textfile and reload the page this new text must apear.

Can somebody please tell me how I must do this?

What do you actually want this for? There's a brilliant program already written which does this, it's called 'Notepad'. ;-)

Why do you want it in Java? Or do you in fact mean Javascript?

Well actually it's for school... It's the last thing I must have to past my exams. But I did alwayds work with PHP and ASP never with Java or Javascript. We had A program at school named Visual Cafe or something to do it with. But I didn't had the time to understand it.

So Anyway I got desperit and post the exercise on some messageboards....

Welll I must mail it now in 40 minutes so I guess it's to late anyway

I shall ask my teacher for a replacement task or something...
