    Question File data to JComboBox

    I'm new to Java and am trying to convert a VB6 program to Java. My VB program reads the first 7 letters of each line in a text file and populates a combo box. How can I mimic this in Java?

    Thanks

    Here's how you read data from a text file:
    Code:
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(filename));
    while ( (line = br.readLine()) != null ) {
      myComboBox.addItem(line); // where myComboBox is of type JComboBox.
    }

    O:-)
