    forums, does anyone no were i can find a guide to building them your self

    hi a i am very new to this site

    i want to no if there are any sites that guide you through the steps of producing your own forum and not those shareware sites that insist you have there adverts all over the place.

    One that teachers you to build and maintain useing HTML and java.

    thnks to those in advance that can help me

    hmmm...depends upon what you mean...

    You can use free software to host your own forum (without adverts) as long as your ISP supports the technology you are using (JSP, ASP or PHP). Check my website for an example of this.

    If you mean actually WRITING your own forum software then you will first have to learn one of the above technologies (JSP, ASP or PHP). PHP is pretty easy, but since this is a Java forum I should also add that JSP is also!
