Quick Question Regarding Certification

I am a guy searching for a tough answer.Simply put...
With an Associates in Computer Science..i.e. C++,VB,ASP,Database Development.......
and thinking of obtaining a Sun Certifited Java Programmer certificate ..What perhaps are my chances of actually gaining a job with no or very little experience in the field......Help Please

better than someone who isnt an SCP, but as is often the case, you might find that the money and time you put into an SCP would be better invested in doing some work experience.. im sure some companies will hire you if you work for little or no money, which gets you onto the experience ladder
