Applet won't unload when IE shuts down.
I have an applet that uses the jre 1.4.1_02. This applet is signed and can access a local dll. The applet works fine. The problem is that when I shut down Internet Explorer, the java console is still loaded ... at least the java console icon is still in the system tray. I have found the IEXPLORE is still active in the Task Manager; when I shut this down, the icon will go away when I move the mouse over it.
I would appreciate any suggestions or information on this behavior. It isn't OS dependent. I have the same behavior on both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The browser settings are different between machines, so I'm fairly certain it isn't a settings problem, but don't know that for sure.
