Using JSP to read and insert data into Oracle

I receive a space delimited file every month which must be uploaded into Oracle. Currently I am using SQL*Loader to accomplish this task. I was wondering if it would be possible to turn this process into a JSP application. Can I read data from the text file and insert them into the corresponding fields in my database? Thanks for your help

    Hi

It's possible. In theorie you could (just as an example) write a WebApplication that allows to upload the text file to the server, where it gets parsed and written into the database (using JDBC as an example).

But why do want to create a JSP application for this task? The tool you are using is probably a stand-alone application which suits your needs better than a WebApp, or not?

    Regards,

    Patrick
