help on commands redirection..

hi all,
i have a java dos-program..where i have to read in a file which contains all the commands used to run the program. Is it possible to do it such that when the file is read in, the user can jus select the commands they want to execute by pressing keyboard up, down, left or right arrow keys (commands redirection)???????

for example after they run the program..
they can select the menu input choice (1, 2, 3, 4) simply by using the keyboard??

if it's possible..how do u do it?????
