Retrieving remote file from applet

Hi,
I have developed an application using an applet, in which i need to store a file(user selects by clicking browse button) into database (in the form of BLOB).

am using signed applet, am able to save the local files but not remote files.

if anyone help me in this regard it would be appreciable.

youre trying to upload a file that is not on your computer, and you are wondering why it doesnt work?

because you dont have it to upload perhaps?
