Drop down box with active header

Gidday,
I'm working on an Intranet to Internet site conversion and need to get a script for a drop down box with an active header, that is, when you select the upper most selection it will then go to that page.
What is the easiest way to go about this?
Does anyone have a script they prepared earlier?
