    Question JVM or JRE Dectection...

    Greetings,

    I want to detect Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine or Sun's Java Runtime Environment through a web page, then I want to redirect the user to 1 of 2 pages depending on what type of JAVA they are using.

    I've never done any type of heaving coding before and haven't been exposed to JAVA, so any help would be great.

    Respectfully,

    Ian

    I think that you can request this information from within Java itself through the system propertied. You can request these with the following statement:
    Code:
    Properties p = System.getProperties();
    next you can loop through the properties opbject (p). One of the properties in there should tell you whihc type of JVM you are using.
