    Accessing DVD in Java

    Hi guys,

Not quite sure how advanced this is, might be in the wrong section. Sorry if it is..
Anyway, what I was wondering was: how it is possible to access clips on a DVD from within a Java application?
It is necessary for me to create a system whereby clicking on, say, an arrow will take you to a video clip a certain amount of time into the DVD and for a certain length of time.
    Does that make sense?
    Thanks.

You'll need to write your own DeCSS in Java to play DVD's.

Thanks for that, but is that still necessary if the DVDs aren't commercial ones? They will be recordings of a football game and certain moves need to be jumped straight to.
    Thanks again.
