Default document approach in ASP
I would like to know weather it is a good way to create a directory structure on the web-server (IIS) and make default document for each of the directory or sub-directory within that structure?
Normally I have seen many sites pointing to different locations within that perticular site without stating the name of a perticular page but ending the path with a '/' ... That is, when I point to one of the links ('link1') of that site the status bar would display the path as 'http://www.xyz.com/link1loc/' instead of 'http://www.xyz.com/link1loc/link1'.
Does it fulfill any security measurements for the sake of the scripts running on the web-server or there is any other reason to do so? And then how would I send any info with use of POST method in this convention..?
