Access Database Question

Hi all,

I've got an Access database that I am linking to through a data control on my form. I want to set a password on the database. What line of code do I need to add to my form so that the data control can access the database???

Suggestion - If you open the d/b in the following way ....

Public gAdoCon As ADODB.Connection

gAdoCon.Open "Provider=MSDASQL.1; Data Source=Mydatabase", "Admin", "mypassword"

having set the password for the d/b in Access under Tools - Security

Depends upon whether you are using the DAO or ADODC Data Control. If you are using the ADODC with an Access database password, the ConnectionString property will look something like the following:

strConn = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" & _
             "Data Source=C:\...\JetPassword.MDB;" & _
             "Jet OLEDB:Database Password=MyPwd"
