Developers - want to create better database software?
Required Technologies Inc. is a 2 year-old software company (15 people as
of this post) looking for highly inquisitive, technically creative, and success-motivated
people who are interested in creating NT/Unix software that has been DEMONSTRATED
to produce performance that is MAGNITUDES FASTER than existing database technology.
THIS IS A DATABASE TECHNOLOGY REVOLUTION.
RTI has been granted a pioneer patent – with additional patents filed – for
a pervasive database technology. This new technology will transform the way
and speed in which information is processed.
Our company is extremely well funded by private investors and our approach
has won the endorsement of Dr. E. F. Codd and Dr. C. J. Date, the two technologists
directly responsible for the relational model and development of relational
database systems. Drs. Codd and Date are also members of our Scientific Advisory
Board. This is a smart, stimulating place to work - many employees hold a
Ph.D. in Math, CS or Physics.
We’re also aggressively supported (and partially funded) by a very well known
patent law firm.
Positions are available including Principle/Team Leader levels. These are
for VERY experienced developers.
Not surprisingly, you will design, code, and unit test lower-level architecture
modules (this is not a simple MFC job). In this capacity, you will work collaboratively
with Product Managers to create design specifications and with QA Engineering
to insure modules function as designed. This work will require a tremendous
amount of dedication and leadership, as you will “own” your modules throughout
the system development life cycle.
8-15+ years experience...
designing high performance, scalable software architectures (OO modeling
tools include Rational Rose, TogetherJ)
lower-level coding in Microsoft VC++ (preferred skill sets include STL, ODBC,
ADO, MFC) in a multi-threaded NT/Unix environment (cross-platform product
development in Windows 2000 and Solaris) developing commercialized software.
You must be able to speak technically – and from experience - about solving
"unsolveable" programming problems, inheritance issues and polymorphisms.
It will be helpful if you can bring a solid understanding of relational database
technology particularly at the internal architecture level. An inquisitive
drive to learn and develop new concepts and technologies, exceptional analytical,
problem solving and debugging skills, and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent
round out our requirements.

Please email me resume, your best code sample (preferably focusing on creative,
lower-level, minimal-MFC programming) and salary requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At RTI, you’ll receive great compensation, benefits, options, a very intellectually
stimulating work environment, and the satisfaction of creating something
truly revolutionary. New York City location (Avenue of the Americas) very
convenient to Grand Central Station.
Relocation assistance and immigration sponsorship may be available.
If you meet our needs, you will be contacted to schedule an interview that
will include hands-on technical problem solving and in-depth technical discussions.
