(which work on their SQL database) to Java Applets.

For a cognitive testing site with evaluation material.
The core technology was developed by MIT scientists. The system is based
on a LINUX platform using an Apache web
server. Bulk of system consists of over a million lines of PHP code which
perform sophisticated management and manipulation of the SQL database structures
( in order to adaptively present assessment items, diagnose the results and
report progress of
the test taker.

Their need is to bring the whole system forward to more current portability
to many different platforms
and converting from PHP to Java Applets. which will run on Internet 2 etc.
