resetting variables when using dynamic jsp

if an error occurs in my jsp page i send the to a different jsp page informing them of the error and a link back to the same page.

but the jsp doesnt respond to the new information, if they type in the same error.

it only works if i restart the server. any ideas what is wrong?

The servlet/jsp is in the servers cache, you will have to find out how to flush/
disable this cache for your server. A specific servlet does not by default reload
when the class file is changed.

It sounds like you need to rethink your user response logic, mabye use cookies to
    recreate old states of information.
